Welcome to the summer edition of the Fishing Passport magazine.

The first few months of trout and salmon fishing are behind us but for coarse anglers, the wait for the start of another river season is almost over. With that in mind, this summer edition of our digital magazine is geared much more towards you!

For those new to the Fishing Passport, the scheme has opened up miles of river and acres of stillwater, enabling anglers to access some of the finest fishing in the UK on a day ticket. The Passport provides a focal point for both local anglers and those from further afield, making it easy to find information about hundreds of waters and most importantly, to book fishing online or by phone.

We hope that this summer edition will inspire those excited about starting their fishing year. We have articles reminiscing about those warm summer evenings on the Wye and the work that is going into protecting coarse fish stocks. For game anglers there are the thrills of catching sewin at night, exploring the wild upland llyns and grayling fishing in the atmospheric Welsh valleys in autumn.

We very much hope you enjoy reading it.

All the best for 2019 from the Fishing Passport Team - you can see who we are on page 18!
